Still have to admire all that coping mechanisms Guy, his father and Lee, use.

Imagine if suicide bombing is the only way you can win in battle against someone who at least has basics of fighting down, you could then understand their situation.

It's as if they have to prove and assert themselves to the world or something.

That's not a mindset to be admired at all, it's not like there is no other work or business to do in that world.

Such a beautiful and powerful backstory with an actual good message that it's possible to surpass talent and gifts with hardwork and enough determination.

Also an amazing story about parenting, despite being the weakest he's better than any dad in the series, staying Genin for the entirety of his life and earning a living through the jobs meant for kids to raise your child while still not giving up on your dreams on being strong. This backstory has probably been the only thing worthwhile in this show after episode 370, it's almost as if writer remembered that he can actually write well.

Anyway, can't wait for author to spit on viewers face again by writing such a well written backstory and then having Gai open Gate of Death and dying for nothing.

his father went through so much and endured, one of the best father!!!! he set example for guy and guy did the same for lee, they're the best ever!!!!

I never really liked guy before cause he seems weird but not until I saw his bond with his students, his friendship with kakashi and this backstory T^T
